The G6131G-MY-RB Limited Malcolm Young Signature Jet embodies the scorching rock ‘n’ roll spirit of Malcolm Young, the groundbreaking rhythm guitarist for the monster band AC/DC.
Nicknamed “The Beast,” the original Firebird Red color was Malcolm’s favorite in early AC/DC performances, including the music video for “It’s a Long Way to the Top. This is a Vintage Firebird Red color model.
The model is reproduced in its early state before Malcolm modified and stripped the paint, and features TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter’Tron on the bridge and neck pickups, and TV Jones Starwood humbucker in the middle position. Three-position pickup toggle switch with 3-position tone switch, 3-position standby switch, aged pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays, bone nut, pinned ebony-based harmonica-style Adjusto-Matic bridge, 60s Featuring such distinctive specs as Jet vibrato tailpiece, Schaller die-cast tuners, black pickguard, G Arrow control knob, and aged gold hardware.
It shows some signs of use (picking marks, fogging of metal parts and screws, and other exterior damage).
The fretboard has been set up (cleaning, string replacement, rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret adjustment) upon arrival, the fret board is high enough to play, and the truss rod can be adjusted to +/- 60 degrees.
