Moai Maea is KMA’s answer to the long forgotten analog octaver sound. Just one note played is enough to build a huge wall of sound.
It produces a sound one octave up and two sub-octave (one octave down and two octaves down) sounds. The high frequency range is reminiscent of sharp 70s fuzz like Jimi Hendrix and the Stooges. The sub-octave produces an earth-shaking bass sound that transforms the guitar into a raucous bass guitar. A switch allows you to choose from three sub-octaves < -1: one octave down>, < -2: one octave down>, or < -2 | -1: mix of both> to build a wall of sound.
The unit can mix each octave sound and dry sound, each in the desired ratio. To further expand the sonic landscape, a serial buffered effects loop is provided in the clean circuit. Furthermore, there is an invert function to set the phase when mixing.
There are some signs of use such as scratches and dirt, but there are no operational problems.
